Today we had our appointment at the US Consulate to apply for Christian's visa to enter the United States. All went smoothly, and the visa should be issued and ready for pick-up tomorrow. Kind of anti-climactic after all these months of paperwork and waiting; but, when we land in Detroit on Thursday, Christian will be a US citizen!
This evening we went to a botanical garden. The flowers and landscaping were absolutely amazing! The heat was amazing too! Glad we didn't go when the sun was out.
We had a special visitor this afternoon. Ann, who was our guide in 2010 when we adopted Peyton, came to see us; and we had a great time catching up with her. She insisted on coming back tomorrow to take us out for a farewell lunch, so we'll be seeing her one more time. After lunch, we will finish packing and then leave for the train station. Should arrive in Hong Kong around 6:30 p.m. I don't know whether we will have internet access there. If not, the next post will be from the good ol' U S of A!!

| Our hotel lobby is quite impressive -- and looks even better with a cute little boy in it! |
