We moved to a different hotel yesterday, and it is quite luxurious! We have much more space now -- and more buttons for Christian to push! That boy just can't help himself. He absolutely has to touch everything. He has settled down a lot and is so sweet and affectionate. We get hugs and kisses all the time and lots of "Wo ai ni" (I love you)!
We arrived at the Garden Hotel a little before 1 pm yesterday and got checked in just in time for the girls to meet the shopping guide we hired for the afternoon. The boys thought it would be more fun to go to the Crocodile Park, so they went there while the girls shopped. Not sure which group had more fun! The boys held a baby crocodile, got up close and personal with a hippo, saw pigs jumping off a diving board and fed raw chicken to crocodiles from a cane pole. The girls got amazing bargains at the wholesale clothing market and toy market and wore ourselves out keeping up with our fabulous guide. Once we all made it back to the hotel, we headed out in search of dinner and ended up at a Mexican restaurant named Tekila. Surprisingly, it was some of the best Mexican food we've ever had! Who would have thought you could get great Mexican food in downtown Guangzhou, China?!
Christian continues to pick up English words and phrases. He is now counting to five very well, and he always finishes with "good job!" He is such a happy little boy and understands that we don't know his language. We play a sort of charades, and he gets his point across very well!
I'm having issues with uploading pictures to the shutterfly site. Still trying though!
