After a very bumpy ride and a hair-raising landing, we arrived safely in Hong Kong around 11 pm local time. Mama Martha and Will Will somehow got upgraded to first class and enjoyed the comforts of their own little "pods" with beds and all sorts of finery! Too bad that didn't happen on the really long flight. We arrived at our apartment (more on that later) and got settled in around 1 am. Now we've sent the men and boys out in search of food before we strike out on our adventures for the day. Not sure what we'll see and do, but I think we have plenty of options!
We are staying in a serviced apartment which is just perfect for what we need. For the same price we would have paid for one tiny hotel room, we have two bedrooms, a living area, mini-kitchen, etc. right in the heart of Causeway Bay overlooking the harbor. Beautiful views! For those of you who will be traveling soon, definitely worth checking out. 9studios.net or something like that.
We did Facetime with the kids this morning, and all is well at home. Amazing that we can be halfway around the world and see and talk to them like they were right beside us!
