One Step Closer

We arrived safely in Guangzhou after a very pleasant train ride and are happy to be back on Shamian Island where we have spent many fun-filled days on each adoption trip.  It's a little different this time since none of the adoption formalities take place here anymore and fewer adopting families choose to stay here; but it's great to be in familiar territory.  We met our guide this afternoon, and she seems very nice.  She will meet us at the hotel tomorrow afternoon at 2:15 to take us to the Civil Affairs Office where we will meet Christian!!  So, when you wake up on Monday, there should be pictures of us with him -- praying that they are happy pictures!
